Take Back the Night 2025 Recap
Every voice. Every step. Every dollar matters.
On October 1st, members of the Key West community came together for this year’s Take Back the Night—an evening of unity, reflection, and resilience in the fight against sexual violence.
While the turnout may have been small, the impact was anything but.
Together, we raised $110 in direct support of survivors and advocacy efforts in Monroe County. That contribution will go toward expanding our reach and continuing to provide free, confidential services like therapy, forensic exams, and legal support for those who need it most.

A Community of Support
This year’s event was made truly meaningful by the presence of our incredible community partners, including:
- Guidance Care Center’s Mobile Response Team
- Domestic Abuse Shelter of Monroe (DAS)
- Key West National Organization for Women (KWNOW)
Each organization tabled during the event, offering support, resources, and conversations that helped survivors and allies alike feel seen, heard, and uplifted.

Why It Matters
Take Back the Night isn’t about crowd size. It’s about connection—and the message that no one walks alone. Every person who showed up carried the spirit of hundreds more who couldn’t. Every candle lit represented a story, a voice, and a future that deserves to be protected and empowered.
Whether you were there in person, shared a post online, or donated quietly from afar—thank you.
