Take Back the Night 2025

Each October, the streets of Key West fill with purpose. Survivors, advocates, neighbors, and allies come together for a powerful evening of unity and strength: Take Back the Night.

This annual event—hosted by Christina’s Courage in partnership with KWNOW, Womankind, DAS, and the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV)—is more than a rally. It’s a safe space to grieve, to speak, to be heard, and to demand a world free from sexual violence.

💙 Why We Gather

Christina’s Courage is the only sexual assault crisis center serving Monroe County, offering survivors free, confidential access to:

• Advocacy and legal support
• Trauma-informed counseling
• Forensic exams (SANE exams) in a safe, private setting

We walk alongside survivors every day—and Take Back the Night is our opportunity to walk beside them publicly, too.

Together, we break the silence.
We reclaim safety.
We honor every voice that was silenced—and every survivor still finding theirs.

From 6:30 to 8:00 PM on October 1, we’ll come together at 1320 Truman Avenue for an unforgettable evening:

• Guest speakers and survivor stories
• Community resources, partner booths, and support materials
• A collective call to action to end violence and build a safer Florida Keys

Whether you’ve been personally impacted or are attending in support, your presence sends a powerful message:
No one walks alone. Not here. Not ever.
